The War at Costco

Every car in line is a tension
bomb wanting to race off

Put the nozzle in the hole and
impregnate your tank with gas

Our wallets are spewing money
into offshore corporate accounts

Yet we rejoice that we don’t live
in the vicinity of a dick-tater

Aren’t we all prawns in the wire
basket of doomed creation

Live today, Hurt tomorrow
If we could only be the Earth

and renew ourselves for a few
billion years until the next bang
